Heroes' Page

Many soldiers are returning with chronic, severe, musculoskeletal pain because of the strain of wearing heavy body armor and other equipment for extended periods of time. They are marching long distances, or are sitting cramped in uncomfortable, jostling trucks or in aircraft traveling countless hours. They are also bending, lifting, twisting, squatting, crawling, climbing, running, and jumping, as well as putting in long hours on watch duty while wearing heavy body armor and equipment. They sometimes have to sleep on the ground with this equipment on.

Besides the tremendous physical stress, there is also psychological, emotional, and financial stress from being away from their families and homes.

They also experience a lot of anxiety, depression, sleep disruption, and posttraumatic stress from the events and situations they see and experience.

Soldiers do seek chiropractic and therapeutic massage, which can help quite a bit. Massage can calm stress hormones, can calm the stress/pain cycle somewhat, and can help them sleep. For more information on the benefits of massage, see the Facts About Massage and Your Health page.

However, chiropractic and massage are not covered under military benefits.

Heartland Massage is offering 90-minute massages for $20 to enlisted active soldiers so they can get some relief.

Heroes need massage therapy more frequently in order to maintain muscular and overall health, so this makes it more affordable.

This benefit is also extended to police and firefighters.

Appointments can be scheduled online. Just choose a 90-min. therapeutic massage off the "Schedule Now" button menu. Or call 701-425-7232 to schedule in person.

This offer will always be available unless it does not get utilized by our heroes. I sincerely hope that you will keep this program going by taking this opportunity to come in as regularly as you think necessary to optimize your health. I feel very honored to apply my particular skills to try to make a difference in how you feel.

Note: Please show proper official ID to receive these massages.

Thanks so much for your brave, honorable service and for keeping us all safe!
